Somers Town bridge opening

A new bridge between Camley Street and King’s Cross is opening Friday, 7 July 2017.

The entrance to the bridge is beside the gates to Camley Street Natural Park. From there, pedestrians and cyclists will be able to travel over the Regent’s Canal and straight down into Granary Square.

Eventually, it is hoped that the bridge will form part of a green route from King’s Cross, through Old St Pancras Church Gardens and north Somers Town to Mornington Crescent.

The new bridge, by Moxon Architects, is 38 metres long and only 15mm deep in the middle. Initially, it will only be open daytime only.
